"As Tip-Toes Kaye, Kate Bilenko was thoroughly beguiling. She sashayed onstage with the coquettish confidence of a Broadway ingénue, aiming her mischievous wit and vocal charm squarely at a receptive audience. Her rendition of “Looking for a Boy” was a highlight — she brought fresh nuance and a warmly personal touch to both George Gershwin’s melody and Ira Gershwin’s clever lyric."

— Kevin McLaughlin, Cleveland Classical, 2025

Kate spent ‘a summer in Ohio’ playing Sally Smith in Ohio Light Opera Company’s production of Me And My Girl! She also performed in 3 operettas and the classic golden-age musical, Guys and Dolls!

"And, in his empathetic Sally, Kate Bilenko, Reese had found a partner who could give him a run for his money. There were moments when it felt as though Fred Astaire had at last found his ideal Ginger Rogers. The two danced superbly, like thoroughbreds. Bilenko acted the part with honest sincerity and touching conviction, bearing favorable comparison with the part’s originator Emma Thompson and Broadway’s Maryann Plunkett. Her ballad “Once You Lose Your Heart” was an emotional high point."
